Hibernation Analysis Tools
Precomputed cross-species meta-analysis from 22 study×tissue cohorts, phase-resolved dynamics, and interactive gene-set tools — paste your own gene list to test against the core signature
Per-cohort effect sizes (torpor-state vs active)
Bars colored by hibernation strategy; dark border = cohort-level significance (p<0.05, |log2FC|≥0.5)
Core hibernation signature (635 genes)

Per-condition mean log2(TPM+1) ± SEM across the torpor–arousal bout. Reset index = 1 − |IBA−Active| / |Torpor−Active| (1.0 = expression fully resets during interbout arousal).
Deep hibernators (ground squirrels, bats) · Bears (mild-hypothermia denning) · Daily torpor (hamsters, deer mice, mouse)
Core hibernation genes × human disease themes
Open Targets top-300 targets per disease theme. Bubble size = association score. Red = up-regulated in torpor, blue = down-regulated. Click a gene row to inspect it in Core Signature.
Reverse lookup: theme → core genes
Gene list enrichment
Paste gene symbols (newline, comma or space separated). They are tested against the core hibernation signature, the cold-exposure split classes and disease-theme target sets by hypergeometric test (background: 15,811 meta-tested genes). No file upload needed.

Cross-species expression heatmap
Mean log2(TPM+1) per study × tissue across hibernation phases, from the 8.3M-record expression table. Row z-score highlights each cohort's phase pattern.

Convergent evolution browser
Amino-acid substitutions that arose independently in multiple hibernator lineages (PAML branch-site / dN-dS screened). 111 sites across 30 genes.

BLAST search
Search a nucleotide or protein sequence against CDS / protein databases of 7 hibernating species (NCBI RefSeq reference genomes, server-side BLAST+ 2.12, blastn task for divergent homologs). Daurian ground squirrel and Djungarian hamster are not covered yet — their NCBI assemblies lack RefSeq CDS/protein annotation.
